Privacy Policy
Atelo is an interior-design project management app operated by H S Sai Krishna (sole proprietor), Visakhapatnam, India ("Atelo", "we", "us"). Atelo helps designers, site engineers, and clients run a project together and keeps a record of the decisions they make. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Questions or requests, any time: hello@atelo.space.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up we collect your phone number or email address (used to send a one-time login code) and your name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile information from your Google account.
Project content you create. Projects, tasks, quotations and BOQs, material selections, notes, approvals and rejections, and site reports. This is the working content of the app, created by you and the people you share a project with.
Site report photos and location. When a site engineer files a report, the app captures a photo using the camera and — with permission — the device's location at the moment of capture (coordinates, an approximate place label, and a timestamp). This exists so reports carry proof of where and when they were made. Location is captured only at the moment a report is filed, not continuously. If location permission is denied, reports can still be filed without it.
Technical information. Basic technical logs generated by operating the service (such as authentication events and error logs) on our infrastructure provider.
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell personal information.
2. How we use information
- To create and secure your account (one-time codes by SMS or email, or Google sign-in).
- To run the product: syncing projects, tasks, quotes, reports, and approvals between the people in a project.
- To maintain the decision record — Atelo's core feature is an append-only log of project decisions, so the people in a project can rely on what was agreed.
- To respond to support requests and keep the service reliable and secure.
3. Who sees what inside a project
Atelo is built around role-based visibility, and it's worth stating plainly:
- Designers see the full project, including pricing and internal quote lines.
- Site engineers see the tasks assigned to them and file reports. They do not see pricing or financial information.
- Clients see only what the designer shares with them — curated quotations and updates. Quote lines marked internal are never shown to the client.
- Decisions and approvals are logged with the name of the person who made them and are visible to the relevant members of that project. That visibility is the product working as intended.
4. Service providers we rely on
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Atelo. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (our backend). Data is hosted on Supabase's managed cloud infrastructure, which may be located outside India.
- Twilio — delivery of SMS one-time login codes.
- Google — if you choose "Continue with Google," Google processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy.
- Zoho — our email service, for messages you send to or receive from us.
We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Atelo or its users.
5. How long we keep information
Account information is kept while your account is active. Project content — including the decision record — is kept for as long as the project exists, because the record is the product: other members of your project rely on it.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction — you can view and edit your details in the app, or ask us for a copy of your data.
- Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and personal data by writing to hello@atelo.space (see the note above on shared records).
- Permissions — camera and location permissions can be granted or revoked in your device settings at any time. Reports work without location.
- Grievances — if you believe we've handled your data improperly, contact hello@atelo.space and we will respond as required under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to project data is controlled by role-based rules enforced at the database level, so each role can only read what its lens allows. No system is perfectly secure, but access control is the core of how Atelo is built.
8. Children
Atelo is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
